The Orange County Zoo is located inside Irvine Regional Park in the City of Orange. Operating hours are 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, closed December 25th and January 1st.

Zoo Entry Fees
Admission is $1.00 per person ages 6 and older. Ages 5 and under admitted free. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Zoo Education Department
The zoo education department offers school programs and tours, children classes, Storybook Time, discovery carts, lectures, speakers bureau, and coming soon is the Wildlife Adventure show. Programs are designed to be educational, interesting and fun as well as meet the State of California standards for each grade level. The Orange County Zoo displays animals and plants native to the southwestern United States, including two new black bears, mountain lion, bald eagle, golden eagle, North American beaver and more. The focus is on the natural history of the exhibited animals and plants as well as conservation of animals and their habitats. With an annual attendance of over 200,000, visitors delight in more than 33 species and an inventory of over 100 animals.
